Pit bull blog: My First Barbecue!

Hi! Daisy here!

I know, I know! I has been quite some time since my last dairy on pit bull blog. I haven't been feeling well due to my knee, well, not that I'm hurting or anything but a little bummed out.
I haven't been to the dog park forever since I'm not supposed run around yet. I was allowed a little more freedom when we went to a barbecue at uncle Scott's over Memorial Day Weekend. It was my very first BARBECUE! Yay!

yummy!!

catch me~!

I always thought cooking was done in an oven or on a stove. But for a Barbecue *oh, I just LOVE saying Barbecue*, you need a Grill!! Grandpa Butch brought beans and corn, uncle Scott prepared burgers and brats. Mom prepared a fruit bowl.
I got to have a little of everything from the grill *my other new favorite word, GRILL*! I used to think McD's burger was great but this...this thing called steak burger, was out of this world! I had been totally missing out, right?
take this off...

The weather was beautiful and the grass was so thick and green. There were flowers, too! We played Bean Bag Game.I helped daddy by taking uncle Scott's bags off the board. That way he loses points! Barking Out Loud!!
Uncle Scott had bought a new fire pit. It's a replacement for the previous fire pit that mom broke and I'm not to talk about it further.

Isn't it so pretty?

The new fire pit was beautiful at night with its cut out stars and moons on the side! I wish we had a yard with flowers and fire pit. People made something called Smores as well. Like they didn't eat enough or something! I got to have a couple of squares of Graham Crackers but not the white fluffy thing and the chocolate. They tell me it's bad for me.
Mom loves to make smores. She says she didn't have anything like that where she grew up! I think she just likes to play with fire more than anything. We sat around the fire listening to music, chatting, enjoying the evening.
I got used to the fire after a while. it was a little scary at first with smoke and heat, but as the evening grew darker, I was comfortable enough to sit next to Daddy.

Perfect ending for a perfect day!

Ahhh....It was a great day for me! My very first barbecue, steak burger, bonfire... just being an American.
American Pit bull Terrier, that is!

Till next time, Toodles~!
