Pit Bull Blog: Canine Cruise

Hi, everyone! Daisy here! The laptop is all fixed up and as good as new so I can continue my pit bull blog again, finally!

On the 26th of June, mom and dad took me to a special Canine Cruise for Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago! yay!

waiting to board

It was basically an architectural cruise along the river and the Lake Michigan. 90 minutes, folks, nine, zero! We got there a little early so we can meet everyone before the event started. We had no idea how many signed up so we were pleasantly surprised to see all the people and their dogs! There was excitement in the air for sure! And, of course, mom was busy taking pictures all over the place for my pit bull blog!

are we leaving yet?

It started around 7:30. After we all settled in our seats, the engine started and we were off! There were water bowls with ice and goody bags for the doggies. We even got souvenir bandannas!

There were many different types of dogs. My favorite was a 3 pound chihuahua named Cleo. She was sooooo cute, I can't even describe how cute she was in words! And there were quite a few big dogs, I mean, BIG! A Great Pyrenees and lots of Goldens. There was a pit bull named Stella as well.

All of us behaved well and I am very proud to report that I was a very brave girl. Mom and dad tired me out by walking me for 30 minutes before we got there but I still had to sit on daddy's lap here and there when it got a little loud, hehehe!

windy day!

The cruise covered lots of buildings along the river and we got to go on the Lake Michigan as well! The guide person was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny! Mercury Cruise Line did a wonderful job accommodating us furry ones!
Mom says we'll definitely do it again soon!
Mercury Cruise Line has canine cruise every Sunday all through summer, yay!
